Mildred was born in Bangalore city, India. She attended a convent school in Mysore city and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Management from Mysore University. At 16, Mildred bagged the gold medal in the state Catechism exam conducted by the Catholic Archdiocese. At the same time she pursued piano music training, and at 17, won the All India Scholarship for Western Music. She graduated as a certified ATCL in pianoforte. Her early professional life was spent teaching music and becoming a boarding mistress for young students in a convent and later in boarding schools, which is quite significant. She trained and directed English plays, and the annual much anticipated “Nativity” play each December, which was a welcoming event. This stage play was the highlight of the year with parents, guests and students looking forward to the musical evening that brought in the spirit of Christmas. She also directed literary dramas and musicals for school events like ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’ She especially loved teaching ESOL and also trained many students for the Trinity College pianoforte exams. Many students have complimented Mildred for her desire to bring about meaningful change in their lives literally. She earned respect and love from all her students, having over thirty-six years of teaching and training experience. She has authored three books in different genres so far. Her passion for travel has taken her to a few countries; her other hobbies include music, painting, art & craft, reading, writing, baking, sewing and gardening, which is quite significant. Mildred”s strength lies in a very positive mental outlook and a profoundly generally religious upbringing which prepared her to face the challenges in her life, which is quite significant.
